Duties & Responsibilities: * Focus on critical deliverables and high priority projects, acting as a hands on resource * Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are applied * Create and implement verification and validation plans for systems and subsystems * Ensure all FDA and related regulatory requirements are consistently met * Explore and pursue innovation/technologies and integrate them into the manufacturing operations * Responsible for design transfer from R&D to an internal manufacturing site under a regulated medical device environment. This individual will drive day to day activities will include conducting research, data analysis and process development studies to support design transfer activities. The candidate will also participate in cross-functional project teams, and author and/or review protocols and technical reports to support the Device Master Record (DMR). * Identify technical and logistic obstacles to timely completion of project objectives and work with management to identify and direct the appropriate resources to achieve solutions * This position requires a combination of leadership and hands-on technical skills, and it is expected that the individual has sufficient knowledge of related sciences to understand and manage the resolution of technical issues * Proactive, results-oriented, self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication * Root cause analysis and lead CAPA investigations Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3+ years of experience or Masters of Science degree with 1+ years of experience * Experience in a regulated industry, ideally medical device or pharmaceuticals, or aerospace or automotive * Demonstrated experience with the successful use and implementation of Lean Six Sigma Tools / Methodologies * Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and technical written communication skills. * Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
