Affinity recruiting is looking to fill entry-level 1st shift manufacturing positions here in the Syracuse, NY location. $15.50 - $17.25 per hour (depending on experience) Full-Time positions, 40 hours a week, M-F schedule, 6am – 2:30pm! The job: Remove undesirable projections or surplus metal from sand castings Operate band saw, abrasive saw, sand grinder, belt grinder and portable pneumatic grinding tools Use of a variety of hand tools including hammers, cold chisels and files May also require the operation and/or loading of the blast cleaning machine May also require the loading/unloading of the heat treat oven Report defective parts to supervisor Maintain and perform housekeeping of grinding area, including sweeping and vacuuming Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned Ideal candidate: Okay with routinely lifting 30-50lbs Okay working in a hot and dirty environment.
