expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical
analysis products for emergency response, security, and
environmental health and safety.This position has the option of a
Hybrid work model- having a relatively close proximity to INFICON's
U.S office headquarters, in E. Syracuse, NYPosition Summary: The
successful candidate will work closely with major Semiconductor and
Display customers to develop product applications using INFICON
Sensors. As a member of our team, you will also act as a technical
consultant, advise field Engineers and customers on application
Best Know Methods (BKMs), and work closely with internal R&D
groups to investigate, develop and verify new sensor designs.Role
Responsibilities
- Develop product Applications on various semiconductor and
display manufacturing equipment tools. Interpret sensor data to
characterize, optimize and trouble shoot semiconductor equipment
and processes
- Work with field applications to create custom integration
solutions for new and existing INFICON solutions. Act as a
technical consultant and advise field Engineer or customers on
application Best Know Methods.
- Interact cross-functionally with local Sales & Support teams,
factory engineering and product management to ensure alignment with
customer's needs.
- Trouble shoot critical product performance challenges and
monitor health of equipment installed base via periodic audits
- Participate in customer meetings, escalations and new
opportunity discussions
- Perform Design of Experiments (DOEs) based on Return of
Investment (ROI) for customers. Collect, analyze and present
laboratory and customer data findings
- Write application bulletins and technical articles to be
published in conjunction with the Corporate Communications
Department Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Physics with 5 or
more years of experience in the area of commercial semiconductor
manufacturing process, equipment engineering, advanced
manufacturing, or relevant field. Masters degree in Engineering,
Chemistry or Physics is desirable.
- Experience in semiconductor fabs is desired but not
required
- Ability and drive to develop a strong understanding of customer
applications and have the ability to think outside the box
- Ability to adapt to various field situations and to foster
strong relationships with internal and external customers
- Travel is up to 30% or when needed. (Domestic and
