Associate or Full ProfessorofComputer Science.The successful
applicant willsupport our programs in Computer Science that address
critical national and regional workforce needs and offer our
graduates excellent employment opportunities.We are eager to hear
from candidates withdemonstrated commitments both teaching and
research, and a commitment to cultivating diversity inthe
university and professional work environment.Strong candidates in
all areas of specialty will be considered, but those which address
critical national and regional workforce needs will be given
preference.Preference will be given to candidates with teaching
experience at the collegiate level, several years of industrial
experience, and/or a strong research background. The successful
candidates' experience and interests are expected to complement
those of existing faculty and be able to support the breadth of
disciplines within computer science.Specific duties include: 1)
Teach and develop curricula for a variety of courses in the area of
Computer Science at the undergraduate and graduate levels. 2)
Develop scholarly research opportunities incorporating
undergraduate and graduate students. Research that includes
academic, industry or government lab collaborations are encouraged.
3) Help pursue external funding, 4) Advise undergraduate and
graduate students and assist with a variety of student club
activities. 5) Serve the College and community through outreach
activities.Otherresponsibilities include contributing to the
assessment and continued development ofComputer Sciencecourses, and
contributing to the University community through committee service
and other activities.Other reasonable duties as assigned. Job
Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:Applicants for this position
must have a PhD or ABD in Computer Science (or a closely related
discipline) from a college or university accredited by the US
Department of Education or internationally recognized

externally funded research.Applications should include statements
on the applicant's teaching philosophy, with a focus on teaching
undergraduate and graduate students, and address the applicant's
abilities and interest in working with culturally diverse
populations. A statement on the applicant's ability to develop
undergraduate and graduate research opportunities that satisfy the
need for either undergraduate capstone projects, thesis projects or
