Job Description:
The Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) plays a vital role in the
postal service, ensuring the efficient delivery and collection of
mail in rural areas. RCAs provide essential communication services
to communities, often serving as the primary postal contact for
residents. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to
engage directly with the community. Deliver and collect mail along
designated rural routes using a postal vehicle. Sort mail for
delivery to residences and businesses. Provide customer service,
including selling postal products and accepting mail items. Ensure
mail is delivered securely and accurately. Record changes of
address and redirect mail as necessary. Report any delivery
obstacles or postal issues to management. Ability to operate a
postal vehicle safely and efficiently. Strong organizational skills
for sorting and delivering mail. Basic computer skills for tracking
deliveries and customer transactions. Good verbal communication
skills for interacting with customers. Attention to detail for
