travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Johnson City, New
York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Respiratory
Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 9

Travel Job Summary: /nTo ensure that Respiratory Therapy services
rendered (the evaluation and treatment of patients) are completed
in a timely, accurate and reliable manner. Those served include
inpatients, outpatients, UHS staff and employees as well as
affiliated UHS community groups as needed. /n /nJob
Responsibilities: /n-Administers respiratory therapy procedures as
directed by the manager. /n-Performs Aerosol Therapy treatments.
/n-Performs CPT/Flutter/PEP Mask therapy (secretion mobilization
therapy). /n-Performs Incentive Spirometry therapy. /n-Performs
M.D.I. therapy. /n-Performs Suctioning procedure. /n-Performs
Extubation procedure. /n-Responsible for Oxygen Tank Safety.
/n-Performs Oxygen Therapy on all approved devices. /n-Manages
BiPAP-CPAP therapy and alarms. /n-Performs Cough Assist/Vest
therapy. /n-Manages High Flow Cannula/Humidifier therapy and
alarms. /n-Performs Pulmonary Function Screen diagnostic procedure.
/n-Performs Fit Testing procedure in coordination with Employee
Health. /n-Performs Pulse Oximetry procedure. /n-Performs Adult EKG
procedure. /n-Performs Pediatric EKG procedure. /n-Performs Adult
BLS life support. /n-Performs Pediatric BLS life support.
/n-Performs Neonatal BLS life support. /n-Manages Mechanical
Ventilation. /n-Manages Ventilator Alarms. /n-Performs Arterial
Puncture and Analysis for the Blood Gas Laboratory. /n-Performs
Quality Control for the Blood Gas Laboratory. /n-Manages patient
healthcare information system (Soarian). /n-Manages medication
administration program (MAK). /n-Manages medication dispensing
system (McKesson). /n-Verifies physician’s written orders
performing pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic and therapeutic
procedures. /n-Records and reports appropriately the results of all
procedures. /n-Performs BLS when necessary, after certification.
/n-Abides by the department Delivery Standards. /n-Maintains files
and bookkeeping records in accordance with department policy.
/n-Performs other related duties. /n-Assists in departmental
in-service program. /n-Will perform other duties as assigned. /n
Required Skills & Experience: /n-Up to three (3) Years of
experience. /n-Attention to Detail. /n-Collaboration.

/nPreferred Skills & Experience: /n-One (1) year experience as a
Respiratory Therapist. /n Required Education: /n-Graduation from an
accredited School for Respiratory Therapy. /n /nPreferred
Education: /n-N/A /n /nRequired Certifications & Licensure: /n-New
York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License. /n-Registered by
the NBRC as a Respiratory Therapist. /n-BLS (AHA, HSI, or American
Red Cross) and ACLS Certification from American Heart Association
(AHA) . /n /nPreferred Certifications & Licensure: /n-N/A
QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE Work Authorization : US Citizen Preferred
years of experience : 1 years Travel required : No travel required

package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject
to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
