Description of Duties:
SUNY Polytechnic Institute's College ofBusinessDepartment
ofAccountinginvites applications for a
full-timetenure-trackAssistant, Associate or Full
ProfessorofAccounting.The successful applicant willengage in
scholarly research and teach in the Graduate and Undergraduate
programs in Accounting.
We are eager to hear from candidates withdemonstrated commitments
to both teaching and research, and a commitment to cultivating
diversity inthe university and professional work environment.
The successful candidate will actively engage in scholarship, which
should include applied or theoretical research, or pedagogical
studies in Accounting or related fields that meet or exceed the
requirements for AACSB's faculty qualification status (i.e.,
Scholarly Academic or Practice Academic); teach undergraduate and
graduate Accounting courses such as Financial Accounting, Income
Tax, Intermediate Accounting, Accounting Information Systems and
Data Analytics, Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination, and
Auditing; participate in development of an advanced online learning
environment; be actively involved in student advising and
mentoring, and contribute to the University community through
assessment, assurance of learning, committee service, and other
activities.
Otherresponsibilities include contributing to the assessment and
continued development ofAccountingcourses, and contributing to the
University community through committee service and other
activities.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. (ABD Considered) in Accounting or a related discipline from
an institution accredited by the US Department of Education or an
internationally recognized organization (preferably AACSB). For a
candidate with ABD status, employment is contingent on receipt of
the PhD degree.

statement describing the applicant's teaching philosophy, with a
focus on teaching undergraduate students, and past contributions
and plans for promoting diversity and inclusion through research,
teaching, and/or service, and a list of three references.In
addition, applicants should include in their statement a
description of current and future research interests, including a
discussion of opportunities to develop or continue externally
funded research.
Applicants for Associate or Full professor with well-established
research programs should include in their cover letters a statement
on their current program and describe how they would carry their
program over to SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Applicants for
Associate or Full professor with interests in academic
administration should include a statement detailing their interest
and experiences in academic leadership.
